The National Film Challenge is the sister competition to the 48 Hour Film Project. Both the Grand Prize Winner and the Audience Award Winner will screen at Filmapalooza - the finale festival for the 48HFP.  In 2008, some 30,000 filmmakers made films in 70 cities. This year, they are even bigger, with filmmakers around the world taking the challenge to make a film in just 48 hours.

This year Filmapalooza - the finale festival for the 48 Hour Film Project and National Film Challenge - is going to the NAB Show in April 2010. The NAB Show is the world's largest digital media industry event attended by leading media, entertainment and communications professionals who share a passion for the next generation of video and audio content across multiple platforms - from television, radios and computers to phones, the big screen and beyond.
